Glass Cleaners

Also you would need 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol with 70% concentration. Finally you also should have 1 to 2 drops of orange essential oil. This is optional because it helps in giving out a nice aroma. These ingredients should be combined and the mixture should be poured into a spray bottle. The solution should then be sprayed on a soft cloth or paper towel. It should then be used on the glass materials in your home. You should try and do the cleaning on a day when the temperature is not very hot. The solution has a tendency to dry rapidly and it could leave streaks behind. It is one of the most effective DIY cleaning products that is cost effective, safe and of course environment friendly. 

Heavy Duty Scrub

With a combination of 1/2 cup of borax and half a lemon you could create wonders when it comes to cleaning rust stains on enamel and porcelain sinks and tubs. All you have to do is to scrub the lemon in the borax and scrub the rusty and soiled surface. Once the stains are removed, you need to thoroughly rinse it with water. However, you should not use it on granite or marble because it will leave stains behind. 

Easy Grease Cleaning Solution

You would need half a cup of sudsy ammonia and it has to be mixed adequately with the right quantity of water. The water should be enough to fill a container of one-gallon. Sudsy ammonia has detergent and it is known to remove tough grime and greasy residues. You can also use this solution for cleaning grills and hoods. You could use a mop or sponge for this. Dip the solution in a sponge or mop and wipe the surface. Once it is clean, rinse it with clean water.

Water Ring Remover

It is common to see ugly looking rings caused by water. To remove this you need one part of baking soda with one part of white toothpaste (non-gel). However, the mixture should not be used on lacquer, wood that is unfinished or on antique. You need to use a damp cloth and add the paste-baking soda solution. The grain has to be rubbed over the spot till it buffs. You should immediately wipe it off with a dry cloth. You can finish the job by using a soft cloth for getting that final shine. You can use it the way you polish such surfaces. 

Clothing Stain Remover

Some cloth stains are very tough and many consider it impossible to remove. You could try a solution of 1 gallon of hot water, 1 cup of dishwasher detergent (powdered), and 1 cup of liquid chlorine bleach. With these in place you can start treating your badly stained garments, provided they are washable and bleachable. The ingredients should be mixed in a plastic, steel or enamel bowl but stay away from aluminum bowl. The garments should be soaked in the solution for around 20 minutes. If the stain is still there allow it to soak a bit longer and then wash them as you do it regularly.
